Buried under the dead leaves of duty,
lazily drifting
on waves of compliance –
racing with the wind of necessity;
wishes
whisper in trees,
tied to days forgone –
waiting,
writing
letters to Lady Hope,
passionately;
desires, in darkness hiding
gather on lips,
lusting to be fulfilled,
muted urges
screaming in shattered glass,
swept under the carpet of resignation -
once again
