I am the hunter
waiting on the shelf,
ready to strike my prey –
once I’ ve caught your eye –
you’re mine,
a helpless fly
inside my net;
wrapped in the cocoon
of excitement and suspense
entangled in black letters in a land
between dream and fantasy
breathe me in,
I am your book,
read me!”
