Lonesome in the darkness,
a wish come true and laid to rest,
the triumph of one night
locked away out of sight,
into uselessness
Washed out the sweat
of excitement,
anticipation
it lingers still,
the smell of thrill
of past desires and fame
waiting for one more occasion
to be revived again
