immobile yet vibrant,
seeks modest diversion…
she, a fully-grown duckling,
would-be-swan
looking for a solution
to past mistakes
and present cares…
indifferent together
until the boring end,
bound by
the ring of convenience
in front of the coal fire…
while her son hides
behind open rebellion…
