Sadness

Sadness opens its door for me,
I fall inside,
reduced to self-pity,
make-up and lipstick
soaked in tears,
a shattered question mark,
its head bowed, humbled…
then the gentle black hole
swallows, chews and spits me out,
finally…
into the sea of misery
where I drown once again
in the pieces of my broken heart,
stumble
through the shopping malls of pain
to buy more…
cross the border to the unbearable,
I die and am reborn…
the same pain greets me
on the other side
as a friend, a lover
to enjoy and embrace
for the short while
that I indulge in the sensual
taste of his skin…
