For what I am, for what I mean

For what you always feared

I\'ll show you ways to live

And you\'ll despise me for what I have to give

And you despise me

For when I speak, and when I laught

I\'m true, and when I cry, even for you

I\'m clear as the great skies of blue

And you despise me for all that I am

And you despise me

For where I stand, I stand for truth

Defend the dreams

Despise me for all I mean

My love was true, or so it seemed..

And you despise me

You wished you could be free

As to enjoy the world, it seems

I loved... And you despised me

For what I seemed to be.
