One amber leaf, one loud whimper
I humbly seek to be forgiven
Clutched to this keen, lurking in silence
Her wicked word, his road to highness
Dark wisps of smoke over a tomb
The more you try to soothe this wound
It never heals, stain never wiped
But rancid smell and reddish white
Upbraid her secret villainy
The mob’s taste for slandery
Defiled by the touch of his turmoil
Transect above and in the soil
