dark and confined
the colors march in the light
nameless and innumerable
the prism takes them in
-you are it’s fracture-
freeing the buried colors
in the tension of transparency
there they are breathless fleeing in flashes
bursting onto the blank page
nameless and innumerable
the fracture liberates them
they are born to the light of day
