little by little you’re saying goodbye
minute by minute my heart wants to die
you have taught me so well
and watched me grow
more than that, you have helped me see
the loving spirit inside of me
don’t leave me now,
don’t set me free
hear me please,
won’t you heed my plea
“forever” I want to be with thee…
alas, in truth, I really know,
that for you the only choice
is to go…
