Hugging the Air

Hugging air is a lonely affair
And the nights are cold and bleak
longing for his voice to whisper, near
his touch I constantly seek
Wandering through the afternoons
with my head up in the clouds
listening to those lonely tunes
as I sit and cry out loud
Yet settling for less than thy soulmate
should never be one’s fate
so lonely is the air I breath
and in his absence I grieve
