Feelings washed up
like broken seashells
along the shore
Doubts ebbing my very soul
as it cries out like a lone gull,
searching, wandering,
lost in a storm of my memories
You have played your role very well
as captain of my destiny and
while I let you set the course,
I have none to blame for my
misery but myself
So alone I walk the sandy shore
while the moon illuminates my way
and the ghost of you whispers
in the wind
