I’d prefer a light from my wardrobe this morning
because I see everything through a shadow since you left
the light would help me cover the simplicity of my journey
between the borders of this bad feeling that I have
the mirror takes me under control as usual
choosing the right mask I should wear
a proper image and a proper behavior
for the outside world on a proper uniform day
I don’t know if you’d find out from our mutual friends
that I’m promoted the chief of sadness department
my grief is outstanding among other grieves from that daily board
where all our feelings are exhibited for the public eye
so if you ever come back here to pick up your sneakers toothbrush or something
while I’d be out there performing my number
you’d find me in every corner of our love room
just sitting around
on that fetus position
waiting for you
waiting to be born again from your rib
