Trapped in the present
Windows look right through my soul
The marching invisible drum is incessant
Windows and shadows red lights
It's out of control
But out of mind and out of sight
Despite the night, the bite, the blight
Faceless hereafter in between the laughter
And shooting through my veins
Is dizzying dismay to fasten my chains
Let it fester and bubble to the surface
Let it stutter through with purpose
