I was starring for you
out there
with the dolphins
following your scent
throughout the hits of waves
breathing it in as the unrivaled
substance I'd ever needed
sweetie
even the squally weather
within my soul was
a blithesome throb
of your wings
to me
I was dying for you
along with the dolphins
as you'd found the highest cliff
to rest your pulse away my pearls
I scattered into abysmal depths
where every shiny layer of my beatings
mirrored you I could feel
my sinking heart
