I knew I had to look for

A green fence

If I wanted

Spring to come

I knew I had to pick up a daisy

And pluck up all its petals

If I wanted

A heatwave

I knew I had to find

My collection of old coins

And to visit an ancient objects

Fair

If I wanted

Autumn to be here

I knew I had to wait

For a young person

To grow white hair

If I wished for

Christmas to arrive
