In recent times

things are surrounding us

a wooden crafted bird

a wooden bird swallowing a wooden fish

a bird flying in the space between the shelves

and those top shelves like moving spaces of childhood

only you in blue from a time of coming and a time of departing

from a time captive in words and a time separated from all these lands

and how I was going through the winter and how it was snowing and all the rest

and how you were going today through your winter and how it did not snow and all the rest

and how I was going through the winter talking for myself what the hell it is just a simple time, a mere distance, this earth is bearing us, anyway

and we are so blessed

over a hundred years, the one who will read here will say, how fortunate, how close were they / and how far

and over a thousand yearsm they will say, how identical trhey were / and how different / then they'll scan our poems

our words our genes

our loves

they'll rebuild us

in our image and our likeness

if we look in the same mirror for a few moments

then we would go each of us on our path

your reflection there along with my reflection there

could imagine inside

the best possible life together
