Enjoy the silence?

They often say “Silence is golden”,
“Some things are better left unsaid”.
But do they know this is a burden
When all you love is left for dead?
I’ll wear your silence on my shoulders
Until there’s nothing left to feel,
Get carried through the river boulders
Far from your charms so I can heal.
You’ll wrap my silence in your coldness
Until will melt your frozen soul,
Then bury it into the oldness
Of shredded tremors dark as coal
We’ll wash our silence in warm tears
Until we’ll crush our sin to yearn
And disappear beyond our fears,
Though deep beneath we’ll crash and burn.
