John Saul s-a nascut pe data de 25 februarie 1942 in Pasadena, California si a crescut in Whittier. A absolvit in 1959 Whittier High School. A inceput mai multe facultati (Antioch, in Ohio, Cerritor, in Norwalk, California, Montana State University si San Francisco State College) fiind atras mai mult de antropologie, teatru si arta, dar nereusind niciodata sa obtina vreo diploma. Dupa ce a plecat de la colegiu, a decis ca cea mai buna modalitate de a absolvi un colegiu ar fi prin publicarea unui roman, fapt care l-a determinat ca urmatorii 15 ani sa lucreze in diverse domenii, in paralel scriind mai multe manuscrise ce spera ca vor fi publicate. Hal Sirowitz

Hal Sirowitz (born 1949) is an American poet. Sirowitz first began to attract attention at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe where he was a frequent competitor in their Friday Night Poetry Slam. He eventually made the 1993 Nuyorican Poetry Slam team, and competed in the 1993 National Poetry Slam (held that year in San Francisco) along with his Nuyorican teammates Maggie Estep, Tracie Morris and Regie Cabico. Sirowitz would later perform his poetry on stages across the country, and on television programs such as MTV's Spoken Word: Unplugged and PBS's The United States of Poetry. He has written six books on poetry and is arguably best known for the volumes Mother Said, My Therapist Said and Father Said. Sirowitz is a 1994 recipient of an NEA Fellowship in Poetry and is the former Poet Laureate of Queens, New York. Adam Duritz

[[eng]] Adam Duritz is an innovative lyricist and piano player who brings the same soul to his friends and lifestyle as he does to the beautiful lyrics and music that he performs. Manuel Acuña

Manuel Acuña Narro (27 August 1849 – 6 December 1873) was a 19th-century Mexican writer. He focused on poetry, but also wrote some novels and plays. Even though he was famous at an early time of his life, he decided to commit suicide. It is not certain why he killed himself, but it is thought that he did so because of a woman. Acuña was born in the city of Saltillo, Coahuila, on August 27, 1849 to Francisco Acuña and Refugio Narro. He was taught how to write and read at an early age. Robert Duncan

Robert Duncan (January 7, 1919 – February 3, 1988) was an American poet and a student of H.D. and the Western esoteric tradition who spent most of his career in and around San Francisco. Though associated with any number of literary traditions and schools, Duncan is often identified with the New American Poetry and Black Mountain poets. Duncan's mature work emerged in the 1950s from within the literary context of Beat culture and today he is also identified as a key figure in the San Francisco Renaissance.
