William Hope Hodgson (15 noiembrie 1877 - aprilie 1918) a fost un scriitor englez. Este autorul unui număr impresionant de scrieri, raportat la scurta sa viață. TET.S. Eliot
Thomas Stearns Eliot, OM (26 September 1888–4 January 1965), was a poet, playwright and literary critic. He received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1948. Among his most famous writings are the poems The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, The Waste Land, The Hollow Men, Ash Wednesday and Four Quartets; the plays Murder in the Cathedral and The Cocktail Party; and the essay "Tradition and the Individual Talent". Eliot was born in the United States, moved to the United Kingdom in 1914 (at age 25), and became a British subject in 1927 at the age of 39. Of his nationality and its role in his work, Eliot said: "[My poetry] wouldn't be what it is if I'd been born in England, and it wouldn't be what it is if I'd stayed in America. It's a combination of things. But in its sources, in its emotional springs, it comes from America."

VLVilliers de l'Isle-Adam
Jean-Marie-Mathias-Philippe-Auguste, comte de Villiers de l'Isle-Adam (7 November 1838 – 19 August 1889) was a French symbolist writer. Villiers de l'Isle-Adam was born in Saint-Brieuc, Brittany, to a distinguished aristocratic family. His parents, Marquis Joseph-Toussaint and Marie-Francoise (née Le Nepvou de Carfort) were not rich, however, and were financially supported by Marie's aunt, Mademoiselle de Kerinou. His father became obsessed with the idea he could restore the family fortune by finding the lost treasure of the Knights of Malta (Philippe Villiers de L'Isle-Adam, 16th century Grand Master of the Knights Hospitaller, was his ancestor), which had reputedly been buried near Quintin during the French Revolution. Consequently, he spent large sums of money buying land, excavating it and then selling it at a loss when he failed to find anything of value. WAWerner Aspenstrom
Karl Werner Aspenström (13 November 1918 – 25 January 1997) was a Swedish poet. Born at Norrbärke, he was a member of the Swedish Academy, where he held Seat 12 from 1981 to 1997. Aspenström claimed that his motivation for writing was "writing for his cat", but apparently hinted that he meant someone else with that. In 1989, together with Lars Gyllensten and Kerstin Ekman, he resigned from the Swedish Academy because of the academy’s response to the Salman Rushdie controversy, which was perceived as weak. He however claimed that this was not the sole reason for his resignation, but rather one amongst several other. He was a friend of Stig Dagerman. Karin Boye s-a născut pe 26 Octombrie 1900, în orașul Suedez Göteborg. Ea a început să scrie și sã participe la dezbateri culturale chiar din vremea studenției, la început din punct de vedere religios, răzvrătindu-se pe atunci împotriva politicii conservatoare culturale. Poeziile din tinerețe au fost influențate de Buddhism, Schopenhauer și în cele din urmã de Nietzsche. A scris în tinerețe volumele de poezii: MOLN(1922), GÖMDA LAND(1924) și HÄRDARNA(1927). Ludwig Schwarz *22.8.1925, Dolatz/Banat/Rumänien; + 3.7.1981, Bukarest/Rumänien Am 22. August 1925 in der Banater Gemeinde Dolatz geboren, blieb Ludwig Schwarz die Biografie vieler seiner Landsleute nicht erspart. Kriegs- und Bărăganerfahrungen haben auch sein Leben geprägt.
