Petre Got (n. 20 septembrie 1937, Desești jud. Maramureș) este un poet și jurnalist român. Numele său este uneori scris sub forma Petre Gott. Părinții săi se numeau Gheorghe Got și Ioana (n. Sacalâș) și erau amândoi țărani. Gheorghe Got și Ioan Pop (văr primar dinspre mamă) au fost deținuți politici în perioada 1959–1962, respectiv 1958–1964, fapt care l-a adus pe tânărul Got la un pas de a fi exmatriculat din facultate. În 1962, Petre Got absolvă studiile de licență ale Facultății de Filologie din cadrul Universității din Cluj. Debutează cu poeme în revista Familia (1966). Debutul editorial este reprezentat de volumul de poezii Cer înfrunzit (1969). Urmează colaborări la reviste literare precum: Familia, Tribuna, Luceafărul”, Steaua, România literară, Viața Românească, Ramuri, Convorbii literare etc. Poezia „Muntele” beneficiază de adaptarea muzicală în manieră hard rock a lui Dan Aldea, pentru grupul Sfinx. Cânt la pian de la 6 ani, la chitară din clasa a 10-a, am activat în liceu și studenție în trupe Rock(soft, hard, metal) - a se vedea poezia mea "Flori de metal". De vreo treizeci de ani am renunțat la muzica rock, trecând la Mozart,Vivaldi,Bethoveen, dar culmea ,ascult și dau tare, tare de tot AC/DC, DE CE?, mă-ntreb și eu.Aș vrea să am 4 mâini, să fac de toate, să cânt la sintetizor,chitare, să scriu poezie și proză, să tastez computerul, să conduc mașina, să gătesc la bucătărie, să dau cu aspiratorul, să mă duc la Biserică, să fac din toate puterile mele bine peste tot.Dau un exemplu: nu mă las dacă la un magazin, farmacie,posta,...văzând, oameni-de-acolo îngândurați, să nu-i fac să zâmbească, nu știu cum fac, dar nu am greșit niciodată, am obținut zâmbete, lumina, în sufletul meu-bucurie, iar în mintea mea bile albe.

The band’s founding members (Iain Matthews, Judy Dyble, Richard Thompson, Simon Nicol, Ashley Hutchings, Martin Lamble) were discovered playing in London’s Soho district, by American producer Joe Boyd. Acquiring his adopted moniker from a movie he had acted in with friends and adding the surname when he began throwing rhymes, Aesop Rock creates hip-hop that is potent and evocative of his home city of New York. He and his production partner Blockhead apparently derive most of their samples from records lifted from the 99 cent bins of local music stores, meaning most of the sounds on his albums are drawn from Italian disco records. The former art student from Boston University built up a strong online fanbase with a number of CD releases, including Music For Earthworms and Appleseed, before making his debut album for the Mush label in 2000 with Float. Drawing on history and mythology to inform his densely constructed soundscapes, Aesop Rock\'s dextrous flow required several listens for the impact of his lyrics to be fully understood and assimilated.
