KVKostas Varnalis
Kostas Varnalis (1884-1974) a fost romancier și poet grec. Opera sa include: Lumina care arde (1922) Poemele scalvilor asediați (1927) Adevarata apologie a lui Socrate (1933)(o lucrare în proză) Engleză Kostas Varnalis was a Greece writer and poet of the 20th Century. Varnalis was born on February 14, 1884, in Pyrgos, Eastern Rumelia (now Burgas, Bulgaria). He was educated in Philippoupolis (now Plovdiv) and received a scholarship from the Greek community of Eastern Rumelia to study literature in Athens. In 1909, Varnalis was appointed to a teaching post in Greece. He received a scholarship in 1919 for post-graduate studies in Paris, France. The two years he spent in France changed him radically as a person: Varnalis was deeply moved by the suffering of common people during World War I and greatly influenced by the October Revolution in Russia. He returned to Greece and acquired the label "leftist" which led to dismissal from his teaching post during the Pangalos dictatorship in 1925....

Abdul Alhazred is a fictional character created by American horror writer H. P. Lovecraft. He is the so-called "Mad Arab" credited with authoring the imaginary book Kitab al-Azif (the Necronomicon), and as such an integral part of Cthulhu Mythos lore. Despite the existence of several hoax Necronomicons, it is clear that neither Alhazred nor his book ever existed. The name Abdul Alhazred is a pseudonym that Lovecraft created in his youth, which he took on after reading 1001 Arabian Nights at the age of about five years. The name was invented either by Lovecraft, or by Albert Baker, the Phillips family lawyer. Abdul is a common Arabic name component (but never a name by itself; additionally the ending -ul and the beginning Al- are redundant), but Alhazred may allude to Hazard, a name from Lovecraft's family tree. Claude Simon (10 October 1913, — 6 July 2005) was a French novelist and the 1985 Nobel Laureate in Literature. He was born in Antananarivo, Madagascar, and died in Paris, France. Simon is often identified with the nouveau roman movement exemplified in the works of Alain Robbe-Grillet and Michel Butor, and while his fragmented narratives certainly contain some of the formal disruption characteristic of that movement (in particular Triptyque from 1973), he nevertheless retains a strong sense of narrative and character. In fact, Simon arguably has much more in common with his Modernist predecessors than with his contemporaries; in particular, the works of Marcel Proust and William Faulkner are a clear influence. He was born in Paris, not, as was once thought, at Dourdan (in today's Essonne département) in 1645. His family was middle class, and his reference to a certain Geoffroy de La Bruyère, a crusader, is only a satirical illustration of a method of self-ennoblement common in France as in some other countries. Indeed he himself always signed the name Delabruyère in one word, as evidence of this. He could trace his family back at least as far as his great-grandfather, who had been a strong Leaguer.
