Alfred Döblin (n. 10 august 1878, Stettin — d. 28 iunie 1957, Emmendingen, lîngă Freiburg) a fost un scriitor german, considerat a fi unul din principalii reprezentanți ai expresionismului în literatură. Lucrarea ce i-a adus notorietate mondială este romanul Berlin Alexanderplatz (1929). Oscar Fingal O'Flaherty Wills Wilde (n. 16 octombrie 1854, Dublin - d. 30 noiembrie 1900, Paris), scriitor irlandez, cel mai cunoscut dintre scriitorii estetizanți de limbă engleză. Oscar Wilde a fost fiul unui medic irlandez. Tatăl sau, sir William Wilde, doctor specialist în boli de ochi și urechi, anticar și scriitor, mai avea trei copii dintr-o primă relație.
