Naștere – 30 iulie 1818 Thornton, West Yorkshire, Anglia Deces – 19 decembrie 1848 (la 30 de ani) Haworth, West Yorkshire Emily Jane Brontë (n. 30 iulie 1818 - d. 19 decembrie 1848) a fost scriitoare engleză, cunoscută mai ales pentru unicul ei roman La răscruce de vânturi. A fost al cincilea din cei șase copii ai lui Patrick and Maria Branwell Brontë. Tatăl era profesor, ca ulterior să devină ministru. În afară de câțiva ani nefericiți petrecuți într-o școală religioasă, descriși mai târziu în romanul ei, cea mai mare parte a studiilor le-a efectuat alături de tatăl ei. Ca și surorile ei, a trăit o viață izolată. A murit la 30 de ani de tuberculoză. Opere În 1847 publică singurul ei roman "La răscruce de vânturi", tradus în limba română de Henriette Yvonne Stahl. În colaborare cu surorile ei, Anne și Charlotte, a scris versuri, care au fost publicate în 1845 sub titlul Poems.

Ben Doyle was born in Warsaw, New York, in 1973. He completed his undergraduate education at the State University of New York at Oswego and West Virginia University. His first collection of poetry, Radio, Radio, (Louisiana State University Press, 2001) was selected by Susan Howe for the 2000 Walt Whitman Award. He received his MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, where he was awarded a Teaching-Writing Fellowship. His poems have appeared in Colorado Review and Fence. He currently lives in Iowa City.

Vor langer Zeit bin ich in Caransebes geboren. Als Jugendliche habe ich cenaclu literar in caransebes besucht. Die Menschen dort (u.a. Sorin Solaris Olariu) haben mein Leben verändert. 1998-2000- Studium der Jurnalistik an der UNI West in Temeschburg. Ich lebe seit Juni 2000 in Deutschland. 2001 bis 2005 habe ich an der Georg-Simon-Ohm Fachhochschule Diplom Sozialpädagogik studiert. 2005-2006 habe ich als educational technician in einer amerikanischer Kaserne gearbeitet. Seit 2006 arbeite ich als Diplom-Sozialpädagogin (FH) in einer Seniorenresidenz. Cu mult timp in urma m-am nascut in Caransebes. Cenaclul literar la care am mers in liceu si oamenii de la care am invatat sa scriu (printre care Sorin Solaris Olariu)mi-au schimbat viata. Dupa 2 ani de studiu de jurnalistica in timisoara, plecata in germania, unde a urmat studiu de pedagogie sociala. In prezent lucrez ca pedagog social intr-o resedinta de seniori.

I got all the necessary childhood diseases and diplomas in order to further attend and graduate The Faculty of Letters, History and Theology (University of the West Timisoara) and become a teacher. I haven't published anything. Derek Alton Walcott (born January 23, 1930) is a Caribbean poet, playwright, writer and visual artist. Born in Castries, St. Lucia, he won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1992. His work, which developed independently of the schools of magic realism emerging in both South America and Europe at around the time of his birth, is intensely related to the symbolism of myth and its relationship to culture. He is best known for his epic poem Omeros, a reworking of Homeric story and tradition into a journey around the Caribbean and beyond to the American West and London. Walcott founded the Trinidad Theatre Workshop in 1959, which has produced his plays (and others) since that time, and remains active with its Board of Directors.
