BPBrian Patten
Brian Patten was born in 1946 in Liverpool, and grew up in the docklands. He left school at fifteen, becoming a junior reporter on The Bootle Times, with responsibility for writing the popular music column. One of his first pieces included a report about McGough and Henri. This led on to him producing and editing the magazine Underdog, which gave a platform to the underground poets in Liverpool at that time. His own work came fully to public attention with the publication of Little Johnny\'s Confession in 1967, when he was twenty-one years old. Since then he has written numerous adult poetry collections, including Vanishing Trick (1976) Armada (1996), which includes some of his most striking poems, focusing on the death of his mother and his memories of childhood. Penguin recently published his Selected Poems (February 2007), and at the same time Harper Perennial published one of his most important books, The Collected Love Poems. M-am nascut din vaporii de apa care si-au reluat ciclul in Dunare...trec printr-un continuu proces de sublimare. Am inceput pe la sfarsitul liceului sa tricotez un ciorap.Am luat sculuri de medicina si chimie, si intre timp am privit.Rezultatul? Neant...mi-am bagat piciorul in ciorap...era neterminat. Acum vreau sa reiau firul de medicina...e verde, asta-i culoarea mea, ma reprezinta. Poate voi termina ciorapul, poate nu. Cine stie? Eu nu. Stii tu?

Corneliu Vadim Tudor (născut pe 28 noiembrie 1949, la București) este un scriitor, politician și jurnalist român. Este fondatorul și președintele Partidului România Mare. A fost discipolul lui Eugen Barbu. 1967 - absolvă cursurile liceale 1971 - licențiat al Facultății de Filosofie a Universitații București cu o teză despre Sociologia Religiei 1975 - urmează cursurile Școlii de Ofițeri de Rezervă din București 1978-1979 - bursa premiului internațional Herder; studiază istoria la Viena. A infiintat revistele Romania Mare, Politica si ziarul Tricolorul. A scris numeroase poeme in care ridica in slavi cuplul dictatorial, pe Elena si Nicolae Ceausescu. Duritz joined and performed in the Bay area band "The Himalayans" until 1991 at which time he left to form Counting Crows. Before he left, however, material was recorded which eventually lead to the release of the 2002 album "She likes the Weather". Famed for -- and ultimately defined by -- his perennial \"American Pie,\" singer/songwriter Don McLean was born October 2, 1945, in New Rochelle, NY. After getting his start in the folk clubs of New York City during the mid-\'60s, McLean struggled for a number of years, building a small following through his work with Pete Seeger on the Clearwater, a sloop that sailed up and down the eastern seaboard to promote environmental causes. Still, McLean was primarily singing in elementary schools and the like when in 1970 he wrote a musical tribute to painter Vincent Van Gogh; the project was roundly rejected by a number of labels, although MediaArts did offer him a contract to record a number of his other songs under the title Tapestry.
