I was born in Tg-Jiu ( the beatiful place where people might admire Brancusi's monumental masterpieces), Romania. After getting my Master's degree in Mathematics from University of Bucharest and working for four years as Junior Assistant Professor in Romanian-American University, Bucharest, I decided to leave my country in order to study some more Mathematics. After spending two years in Montreal, Canada, I moved to USA where I am currently doing my Ph.D in Mathematics. Writing poems helps me convey ideas and feelings to other people. It happend that two short poems of mine, translated in French, got published in " North Texas World Literatures Review" Vol. 2, ETC... , run by the Foreign Language Department of UNT, Denton, TX, USA.

Tahar Ben Jelloun (Arabic: ÇáØÇåÑ ÈäÌáæäý) (born in Fes, Morocco, December 1, 1944) is a Moroccan poet and writer. Professor at Tetouan and then in Casablanca. He has lived and worked in France since 1971. He attends to lectures in social psychology and works as psychotherapist. He writes in French although his first language is Arabic. He writes for diverse reviews and in particular for Le Monde. His novel La Nuit Sacrée won the Prix Goncourt in 1987. Mircea Eliade (n. 13 martie S.V. 28 februarie 1907, București - d. 22 aprilie 1986, Chicago), a fost un gânditor și scriitor român. Filozof și istoric al religiilor, Eliade a fost profesor la Universitatea din Chicago din 1957, titular al catedrei Sewell L. Avery din 1962, naturalizat cetățean american în 1966, onorat cu titlul de Distinguished Service Professor. Se trage dintr-o familie boierească de cărturari din Basarabia, născut la 16 februarie 1836(o alta variantă propusă este 26.02.1938) în preajma Cetății Hotinului, în satul Cristinești, ca fiu al boierului naționalist și savant Alexandru Hajdău.
