Born on 23 September 1949, Freehold, New Jersey, USA. As the world\'s greatest living rock \'n\' roll star, Bruce Springsteen has unconsciously proved former Rolling Stone critic Jon Landau totally correct. Landau appeared smug and brave when he made the arrogant statement in 1974, \"I saw rock \'n\' roll future, and its name is Bruce Springsteen\". Giacomo Leopardi

Giacomo Leopardi nasce a Recanati nel 1798, dal conte Monaldo e Adelaide Antici. Nel 1803 l’amministrazione dei beni familiari è tolta al padre, che si ritira quindi in una velleitaria attività di letterato dilettante, e passa nelle mani della madre. L’atmosfera di casa Leopardi non è felice ed è caratterizzata dall’indole della madre, severa, bigotta e povera d’affetti. Il giovane Giacomo inizia nel 1807 gli studi con i fratelli Carlo e Paolina, inizia a comporre piccoli componimenti poetici e cerca un proprio spazio autonomo all’interno di un’educazione di chiaro stampo controriformistico. Tra il 1813 e il 1816 inizia da solo lo studio del greco; si dedica a ricerche erudite e a varie indagini filologiche sorprendentemente rigorose e precise. Pete Brown

(b 25 Dec. \'40, London) Poet, lyricist, singer, producer, percussionist. Active on London jazz-poetry scene early \'60s, then worked with Cream, writing lyrics for hits \'Sunshine Of Your Love\', \'White Room\', \'I Feel Free\', \'Politician\' etc which he said would pay the rent for the rest of his life. After Cream split \'68 he continued to work with Jack Bruce (see his entry), also his own Jazz Poetry \'66, A Meal You Can Shake Hands With In The Dark \'69 (as Pete Brown and His Battered Ornaments, Chris Spedding on guitar), Things May Come And Things May Go, But The Art School Dance Goes On Forever \'72, and Thousands On A Raft \'70 (as Pete Brown and Piblokto, with Jim Mullen). He worked with other groups; an album of demos by Back To The Front was later issued. Mircea Popovici

Mircea Popovici (n. 21 aprilie 1923, București) a fost unul dintre primii poeți din grupul literar “Albatros” și din mișcarea bucureșteană postavangardistă a deceniului al cincilea din secolul XX. "A frecventat, la indemnul prietenului sau Constant Tonegaru, cenaclul "Sburatorul" al lui E. Lovinescu, unde a citit in citeva rinduri. Lupta apoi in cel de al doilea razboi, ca ofiter. Debutul este inlesnit de premiul pe care i-l acorda, lui si lui Geo Dumitrescu, Fundatia "Regele Mihai I". Nu-i de colo, daca tinem cont ca din juriu faceau parte Tudor Vianu, Perpessicius, Camil Petrescu, Vladimir Streinu, Serban Cioculescu, Pompiliu Constantinescu, Ion Biberi si Petru Comarnescu.
