He was born in Bruges in the province of West Flanders, where he also spent most of his life. He was ordained a priest in 1854, and worked as a teacher and priest in Roeselare. He was always interested in all things in English and was given the prestigious right of being the priest for the 'English Convent' in Bruges. He died there in a small room, where it is still forbidden to enter. He was the son of Monica Devrieze and Pieter Jan Gezelle, a Flemish gardener in Bruges. Robert Traill Spence Lowell IV (March 1, 1917 – September 12, 1977) was an American poet, considered the founder of the confessional poetry movement. He was appointed the sixth Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress in 1946. Lowell was born in Boston, Massachusetts to a Boston Brahmin family that included the poets Amy Lowell and James Russell Lowell. Tizenkét éves korától verselt, tizenhat évesen (1921) megjelentette elsõ, Ady Endre hatása alatt álló verseskönyvét, „Az Élet tavaszán”-t. 1922–1927 között Budapesten jogot végzett. Ügyvédjelölt, könyvtáros volt. Verseiben a kor lírai formanyelvének szinte minden lehetõségét kipróbálta. A „Papírember” (1928) címû második verseskönyvét, melynek függelékében jelentek meg vizuális versei, értetlen kritika fogadta. Másfél évre Debrecenbe költözött, majd 1930-ban Párizsba utazott. Súlyos egzisztenciális gondokkal, utóbb betegséggel is küzdött. 1933-ban a Cercle François Villon tagjaként ismeretséget kötött néhány avantgárd mûvésszel. 1936-ban Párizsban – a többi között Vaszilij Kandinszkij és Hans Arp aláírásával – kiadta a „Dimenzionista Manifesztum”-ot, amelynek megjelenése után néhány nappal hazatért gyógyíttatni magát. Orson Scott Card (n. 24 august 1951) este un scriitor cunoscut mai ales pentru romanul Jocul lui Ender (Ender\'s Game), publicat în 1985. Este actualmente profesor la Southern Virginia University în Buena Vista, Virginia. VIAȚA: Card s-a născut în Richland, Washington, a terminat Brigham Young University și University of Utah.
