PFPaul Fort
Jules Jean Paul Fort, né à Reims (Marne) le 1er février 1872 et mort le 20 avril 1960 à Montlhéry (Essonne), est un poète et dramaturge français. Biographie Paul Fort donna ses premiers poèmes au Mercure de France en 1896. Ils constitueront le début des Ballades françaises dans une suite continue jusqu'à sa mort. Il fonda le Théâtre d’Art, qui deviendra le Théâtre de l'Œuvre, créa en 1905 la revue Vers et prose et contribua à donner au quartier du Montparnasse, à Paris, sa renommée artistique. Il est l'auteur d'une œuvre poétique abondante mêlée de symbolisme, de simplicité et de lyrisme, utilisant le plus souvent le verset. Paul Fort fréquenta quelques-uns des écrivains et poètes les plus connus de son temps : Paul Verlaine, Stéphane Mallarmé, Pierre Louÿs, André Gide. Tom Waits
In the 1970s, Tom Waits combined a lyrical focus on desperate, lowlife characters with a persona that seemed to embody the same lifestyle, which he sang about in a raspy, gravelly voice. From the '80s on, his work became increasingly theatrical as he moved into acting and composing. Growing up in southern California, Waits attracted the attention of manager Herb Cohen, who also handled Frank Zappa, and was signed by him at the beginning of the 1970s, resulting in the material later released as The Early Years and The Early Years, Vol. 2. His formal recording debut came with Closing Time (1973) on Asylum Records, an album that contained "Ol' 55," which was covered by labelmates the Eagles for their On the Border album.
