How does night begin?
With an angel who stains the sky
with his blue, cold breath.
The bare foot of the angel
presses gently the mute key,
the dialogue of the birds is extinguished,
trees are forgotten in sleep,
a leaf commits suicide by leaving the tree,
the cricket’s song can be heard clearer,
the fire-fly emits luminous waves,
the grass lamenting discretely its insomnia,
the moon becomes the only guide,
the stars drop silver in my palms,
your hands freeze,
the soul’s wounds remain unhealed...
This is how night begins!
