During long walks
The eyes are invaded by color.
You can’t get enough
Of the blue of the sky,
The yellow light of the sun,
Of the green of the earth,
The orange of the wind...
You can’t get enough
Of the violet of the sky,
The silver of the moon…
You love the day
And the night equally,
Their mysterious, gentle passing...
In your house, the voiceless things -
Treasures of the soul
Gathered along the years –,
Their insistent, affectionate look,
Their time condensed,
Bring peace, dreaminess
That you can’t get enough of...
A frisky thought,
Always another,
Comes rummaging
In the chests of the world’ treasures…
This materialized hunger!
Will it become a precious stone
To those that you loved,
Not either or?
