The murmur of hope
1 min lectură·
Mediu
I step emphatically and scarce
On known roads, unknown roads.
I count, now and again,
The moments which effuse like a prelude,
I count the roads.
I listen to the wailing of each leaf falling
And my short, passing life hurts me!
My thoughts roll around, somersaulting,
The soul’s hands directing it
And warm tears which break between my eyelids
Tailoring a road on the still smooth cheeks,
While the mourning, helter-skelter air of the night
Uncaringly perambulates.
And I’m afraid, I’m lonely
And I walk unconsciously,
Further, further…
I raise my gaze to the gloomy sky,
I see many more stars now, which that hang upon the sky,
With angular arms, cold, sparkling…
I step emphatically and scarce
On known roads, unknown…
Until when does the road of my life extend oh God?
We pass too fast, we rust oh God,
Like the leaves we rust!
Those green pines sparkle in silver light of sky,
Their long arms stretching prayer-like,
Begging the angel to take my hand,
To pass easier the border of loneliness
Tonight!
