Pick me up
like the other half of your soul

Pick me up, like a broken flower,
out of the grass, defeated
by the thorns that grew within it.
Pick me up, the lonely one out of the crowd,
like a, over turned, moon,
out of a night, dominated by stars.
Pick me up, a fragment out of a tale,
like a shadow stretched
over the fire face of the sun.
Pick me up, a kiss from your lips,
like a blessing overwhelmed
by the prayer of a demon in love.
Pick me up, out of us, and heal me,
like the other half of your soul, locked
by you, within our love – an embryo.
