DON’T LEAVE!

Don’t leave me now,
Don’t leave me!
It is cold and dark outside-
Why should you leave?
Don’t go,
Don’t steal my warmth and light,
Don’t leave me dead and numb
Inside this prison of seclusion.
And if you go,
Take me with you,
I’ll leave my world forever…
Just don’t abandon my cold soul
Inside this dying body.
Don’t leave without touching my heart –
Where do you want to go now?
The rain keeps haunting through the night,
The wind keeps howling madly…
And I’m alone in between four walls,
Forgotten in deep sadness.
A dead soul in a living body…
If only I could reach outside
This stifling cloud that’s killing me
Slowly, so slowly…
Why do you close your eyes like this
When you behold my shadow?
Why do your ears isolate themselves
In deafness
When my voice tries to reach them?
How can you turn around like this
And leave without saying a word to me?
How can you have the cruel heart
To let go of my hand
When it needs your warm touch
More than ever before now?
Do you have the slightest clue
Of how many tears these eyes will shed
The moment that old wooden door
Will close forever behind your hasty steps?
Don’t go,
Oh, please, don’t leave me now…
Don’t let my heart turn into an eternal
Spring of bitter tears.
Don’t leave – there is nowhere you could go.
The world outside is a blind chaos –
Why do you want to get lost
In the middle of nowhere
And become a floating wreck?
What will become of you,
What will happen to me,
What will we both turn into?
Don’t leave, my dear heart,
Don’t leave me!
