Sound of silence

Dark sleep has spread its wings
All over the horizon
And every light that guards
Our summer dreams
Has gone out.
Flickering candles
Smiling in the dark velvet sky
Hide behind grey clouds
Of autumn
While thousands of mysterious
Celestial voices
Weave silver whispers
Into the chilly air.
Silence…
Everything is wrapped up
In silence:
The air, the night,
The sky, the earth,
Our entire beings.
Silence –
It is all our ears can hear,
It is all our souls can feel –
Deep silence –
All the words we can utter
Are drowned in the
Sound of silence.
