Life runs and tumbles
Through the gates of death
Like a dusty, ancient book
That slowly opens…
The wind leafs through its
Yellow pages
And takes the words
On its wings,
Carrying them gently
Towards the world
Of the frozen souls
That wander in numbness
Like dry autumn leaves
That have
Nothing more to whisper
Than the deep memory
Of their own passing.
