NIGHT’S DECEIT

I watch death kissing your pale cheeks,
Your dry lips trembling, murmuring…
The song of deceit…
The stars are crying,
The angels are dying,
While your soul is draining
Like a tired stream
That has no urge, no will to continue its journey
Towards the accomplishment of its destiny.
The tormented sky
Opens its frightful gates
And the sound of the hinges,
As old and rusty as time itself,
Surrounds your dying brightness,
Menacing your diaphanous mystery
With swirls of the fire arrows of dawn.
The shadow of helplessness
Is dying inside you,
The relic of an innocent illusion
That is now sinking into agony,
Having been so bitterly betrayed
By its own wicked plight…
