Dream within dream. Afternoon nap in hammock

what a miracle to be able to turn on the light
with an upward movement of eyelids
and awake to a new reality
where you look at your picture from Bahamas
screensaver on the laptop buzzing in your lap
while the hummingbird that stood still
for the flowers in your lei
wings back into your forehead
