Words are only tools we sculpt with
Into what some say is soul
Probing and disrobing whole
What is sadness or is bliss
Sounds of thoughts we craft to see
Into lines of song and pain
Trying to make sense in vain
Of what life is or should be

Proud words we spread down
To chant and enchant - (as poets)
Humble we hope that
We write what we meant - (as poets)
Strings of our feelings
We try soft to twinge
Playing with words means
We sing and we singe.
