In looking forward to meeting
life fulfilling prophesies,
we tread the lands that once impoverished
us, as ruthlessly as we did
when brute darkness refused to
show us the way.
My shadowy acquaintances, hear me,
we never go in for searching roads
lying so naked inside our awaken infancy
we,rather, heedlessly pursue the displaced
agony.
I am afraid,
symbols and allusions have colluded
with our betrayals,
we are no longer what
our forefathers intended
us to be.
