The night watchman

Fleeting like the mind,
discreet as time,
silence is his only companion
and softness his save,
without patronymic, anonymous,
great passion which shines in his eyes
coming from all the hearts
that he searches at midnight in,
that he protects all night long,
she who prays all hours
that she escapes with him
far-off his adventure,
far-off his dreams,
out of their hopes
their difference fades away on the horizon
to follow the way of their instinct
the way of fate waiting tomorrow.
