In your absence

in your absence, i am judging myself with my enemy and again the witnesses caught me red-handed every now and then thinking about you or staring at your faded black and white photo /full of fear... there was a deal between you and i promises were made forty seven times and touched the yellowish grey -hair when thy green eyes were ringed with pain and i thought it was my job to heal, and you could help…but you were in a real mess when you rubbed your hands down your face.. and laid your hand gently on my shoulder… i wiped away thy tears tensions were high there was tenderness too.. we have confirmed that there was a promise… forty seven times that’s why we are in trouble people keep asking me “who is he?” can not answer… i stay awake at nights thoughts are chasing me, dream-catcher is fake as well/wouldn’t keep any of the dreams you are in… even the full moon in the night sky, staring and questioning me… my world is torn apart.. you are there and i’m here… miles and miles away… i could hear the screams and yellings of my enemy inside me telling me to board a ship and sail towards you… Günsel Djemal-1999
