împrăștia pe tavan umbre hidoase
ascultam bocetul de pe Wish You Were Here
noapte de noapte de un deceniu
răsucit în jurul trunchiului tău
de culoarea și consistența alunei
sfidam legile clasice
ale mecanicii și termodinamicii
anulam cu mândrie
zmeii și inorogii de pe pereți
și din urbe
ce îți dădeau târcoale
lunecam vrăjiți și lucizi
dintr-o stare de agregare
într-alta
îmi era drag de tine
șemineul
împrăștia pe tavan umbre hidoase

și nu ne-am mai dezlipit
Împrejur mirosea profund a lumină

was spreading hideous shades on the ceiling
I was listening to the wail on Wish You Where Here
ten years night after night
twisted around your trunk
hazel and strong like a nut
I despised the classical laws
of mechanics and thermodynamics
proudly I denied
the dragons and unicorns on the walls
and from the town
they were hovering about you
we would slide, bewitched but lucid
from one aggregation state
to another
I cared so much about you
the fireplace
