the lie

so I wished for nothing
and now I\'m waiting for it to happen
and the rain sometimes speaks/ like a sad song
and I pretend it\'s you/ falling like broken glass
in my arms
it\'s one of those love tunes/ that they use to sell
perfectly designed/ washing machines & other vital
household items
\"it\'s the little things\", you say and I laugh
like a clean cut/ always politically correct/ in my chaotic
ramble/ I tend to make this lie/ completely believable
you always smile as you leave/ and I always smile back
as only the dead do/ after years and years of
trying
