I kept running among the hot sands.
Lonely, a shell thrown on the beach.
Tempests, whirling the depth of the water.
The kiss of waves on concentric covers.
Held in a palm, examined for long....
Lifelong searching beyond the colours of the rainbow.
Shy hands peering the snore of the twin valves
The delicate crook towards light...
Revelation of dazzling dust,
Alluring irisation, drops of salt.
Eagerly sipping you in secret,
You...black pearl-
Beauty born by the freak of nature.
You were silently waiting, dreaming of our time to come.
Recovery, feeble memories, billows of joy...
And you, reviving into a bewitched necklace
A valuable gem at my neck and my chest
The touch of the black pearl soothes my turmoil.
Paired destinies beyond the horizon.
