... when i came to see you
it was a sunny summer day
i walked along the riverbank
passing through gardens and bogs
i even cut my leg in a barbed-wire fence
ruining my new jeans
i crossed the waters barefoot
you were sitting on the other bank
smiling and waiting for me
we made love
in your parents’ bed
until late in the evening
the wound healed long afterwards
