We walled ourselves in this house
That looks to the sea
One can write only while staring
Absently
Afar toward Lebanon
Watching the chopper brids
That defend our hopes
Day after day the sight remains the same
White-haired-
The two of us here-in armchaires ,taken hostage by
The sea,
Each image is studied in mation,
White traces in the sky
White tracks on the water
Hours on end phosphorescence surrounds us,
We lose our way in the buoyant
Shiphouse
We seem to be awaiting the floating doom.
