Denied grace by virtue of my life
to wander the lonely world of pain;
it is here that you condemn me
your vision cannot encompass truth.
I bar myself from your eternity
no mindless faith will ever guide me;
my heathen roots cannot be purged
I am only a slave of the flesh.
For you desire lies cold and dead
sonorous tune that cannot soar;
there is no rhythm in your heart
no beat to lead you in the dark.
Disconnected from the source
you wander blindly through your life;
convicted by the faith you claim
the tomb of religion is now complete.
Here you reign unheeding your fate
the world is knocking down the door-
but deafened by your false beliefs
this life\'s a silent lonely grave.
