The silence of this room
echoes between my mind and my heart.
I recognize myself in it
I allow myself to be it
for I am strong now and have learned
to love it.
As I look around
I see once again the crowd within the room
the many faces, too many.
I hear their thoughts bouncing off the walls.
I try to capture these thoughts
to hold them still.
I can\'t, for these people
haven\'t come to terms with silence.
