Jaime Sabines Gutiérrez (March 25, 1926 - March 19, 1999) is arguably Mexico's most influential contemporary poet. Known as “the sniper of Literature” as he formed part of a group that transformed literature into reality, he wrote ten volumes of poetry, and his work has been translated into more than twelve languages. His writings chronicle the experience of everyday people in places such as the street, hospital, and playground. Sabines was also a politician. Jaime Sabines was born on March 25, 1926 in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. Before he devoted himself to the study of literature, he spent three years studying medicine before moving on to his real vocation: Spanish and literature, studying at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), and obtaining a postgraduate degree. Sabines was an outstanding student at the Mexican Writers Centre from 1964 to 1965 and part of the jury for the Casa de las Americas prize. Later on I followed a couple of courses in Psychology. I mainly write in Romanian, that's what makes me feel closer to the places I left. ( 1901 – 1944 ) One of the Finnish poets who brought a free verse style of writing poetry into the mainstream of Finnish literature. Her work is full of the ecstasy of life, longing for distant places, and a use of vocabulary glutted in color, into which are woven a general radical quality, which affects her late works especially. She is considered a late proponent of the ideals of the Carriers of the Flame. Her earlier works show her dedicated to light and its power. Her output is not extensive. Samuel Taylor "Estese" Coleridge (1772-1834) Samuel Taylor Coleridge was born in Ottery St. Mary on 21 October 1772, youngest of the ten children of John Coleridge, a minister, and Ann Bowden Coleridge. He was often bullied as a child by Frank, the next youngest, and his mother was apparently a bit distant, so it was no surprise when Col1 ran away at age seven. He was found early the next morning by a neighbor, but the events of his night outdoors frequently showed up in imagery in his poems (and his nightmares) as well as the notebooks he kept for most of his adult life. John Coleridge died in 1781, and Col was sent away to a London charity school for children of the clergy. He stayed with his maternal uncle2. Nu pot să spun că îmi place în mod special poezia de niciun fel...dar, totuși nu pot să fiu de acord cu ceea ce se scrie în momentul de față. M-am nascut in acelasi loc unde se nasc si muntii, probabil din aceeasi piatra.Se spune ca oamenii sunt facuti din carne si oase , eu cred ca m-am nascut din piatra si apa, colturoasa si alunecoasa in acelasi timp, uneori ca un bolovan alb de pe coasta muntilor gata oricand sa o ia la vale.Imi place natura in forma ei salbatica, imi plac oamenii domoli si cu mult bun simt imi place lumea satului si daca m-as putea preface in ceva acela ar fi un clopot de biserica. Am trait vesnic printre oamenii pe care i-am iubit agatata de sufletele lor ca un scaiete.Am avut marele noroc de a cunoaste oameni minunati si de a fi iubita de cei care-i pretuiam.Altfel, dupa atatea zbateri un simplu inginer zootehnist, pui de bihorean pribegind pe meleaguri banatene.Mi-a placut intodeauna sa scriu ceea ce simt intr-o clipa anume ca din toate cele trecatoare ale vietii sa-mi ramana mici amintiri , cateva cuvinte pe care citindu-le sa ma bucur.
