Alter ego

Mediu

I\'m no more socially compatible.

I disrespected the quotes of elders

and headed towards another route.

I hitch hiked among books

to reach a greater knowledge

and I even undressed my body

so nature could see

I\'m no different from it,

either alive or dead.

I sat next to monks

as they were chanting their prayers,

I witnessed their beliefs

and their god\'s absent answer.

I indulged myself

with unwanted pleasures

to measure infamy

and instinct\'s limits

-endless-

I tried to escape

behind these human bars

that are kept together

by imprisonment laws

but my freedom

wasn\'t born yet,

wasn\'t possible.

I can not find

the embodiment of myself.
